Lesotho vs East Timor: Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture
Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Lesotho
- East Timor
How they compare
East Timor currently reports 0.8314 Mt CO2e against 0.7882 Mt CO2e in Lesotho, a difference of 0.0432 Mt CO2e.
That makes East Timor's figure about 1.1 times Lesotho's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Lesotho ahead.
Lesotho ranks 137th and East Timor ranks 135th of 201 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Lesotho averaged higher in 5 and East Timor in 1.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
