Togo vs United Arab Emirates: Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture
Methane (CH4) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Togo
- United Arab Emirates
How they compare
Togo currently reports 1.99 Mt CO2e against 1.63 Mt CO2e in United Arab Emirates, a difference of 0.36 Mt CO2e.
That makes Togo's figure about 1.2 times United Arab Emirates's.
The two have swapped places 6 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Togo ahead.
Togo ranks 117th and United Arab Emirates ranks 120th of 201 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Togo averaged higher in 5 and United Arab Emirates in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Togo | United Arab Emirates | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.449 Mt CO2e | 0.187 Mt CO2e | 0.262 Mt CO2e | Togo |
| 1980s | 0.54 Mt CO2e | 0.253 Mt CO2e | 0.287 Mt CO2e | Togo |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
