Bahamas vs Guinea-Bissau: Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste
Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste over time
- Bahamas
- Guinea-Bissau
How they compare
Guinea-Bissau currently reports 0.3567 Mt CO2e against 0.3165 Mt CO2e in Bahamas, a difference of 0.0402 Mt CO2e.
That makes Guinea-Bissau's figure about 1.1 times Bahamas's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Bahamas ahead.
Bahamas ranks 152nd and Guinea-Bissau ranks 149th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Bahamas averaged higher in 5 and Guinea-Bissau in 1.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
