Central African Republic vs Fiji: Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste
Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste over time
- Central African Republic
- Fiji
How they compare
Central African Republic currently reports 0.4427 Mt CO2e against 0.373 Mt CO2e in Fiji, a difference of 0.0697 Mt CO2e.
That makes Central African Republic's figure about 1.2 times Fiji's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Central African Republic ahead.
Central African Republic ranks 147th and Fiji ranks 148th of 203 countries.
Central African Republic has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Central African Republic | Fiji | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
