Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) vs Ukraine: Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste
Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste over time
- Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC)
- Ukraine
How they compare
Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) currently reports 97.15 Mt CO2e against 10.15 Mt CO2e in Ukraine, a difference of 87 Mt CO2e.
That makes Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC)'s figure about 9.6 times Ukraine's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) has been ahead every year.
Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) ranks 35th and Ukraine ranks 35th of 46 groups.
Heavily indebted poor countries (HIPC) has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
