IDA & IBRD total vs Russia: Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste
Methane (CH4) emissions from Waste over time
- IDA & IBRD total
- Russia
How they compare
IDA & IBRD total currently reports 1,204 Mt CO2e against 89.18 Mt CO2e in Russia, a difference of 1,115 Mt CO2e.
That makes IDA & IBRD total's figure about 13.5 times Russia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, IDA & IBRD total has been ahead every year.
IDA & IBRD total ranks 2nd and Russia ranks 5th of 45 groups.
IDA & IBRD total has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
