Democratic Republic of Congo vs Uganda: Methane (CH4) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF
Methane (CH4) emissions (total) excluding LULUCF over time
- Democratic Republic of Congo
- Uganda
How they compare
Democratic Republic of Congo currently reports 42.16 Mt CO2e against 38.19 Mt CO2e in Uganda, a difference of 3.97 Mt CO2e.
That makes Democratic Republic of Congo's figure about 1.1 times Uganda's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Uganda ahead.
Democratic Republic of Congo ranks 44th and Uganda ranks 46th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Democratic Republic of Congo averaged higher in 4 and Uganda in 2.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of methane (CH4), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agriculture, energy, waste, and industrial sectors, excluding LULUCF. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
