Myanmar vs USSR: Mineral fertilizers — Cropland nitrogen per unit area
Mineral fertilizers — Cropland nitrogen per unit area over time
- Myanmar
- USSR
How they compare
Myanmar currently reports 36.58 kg/ha against 33.98 kg/ha in USSR, a difference of 2.6 kg/ha.
That makes Myanmar's figure about 1.1 times USSR's.
Across all 31 years both countries report, USSR has been ahead every year.
Myanmar ranks 101st and USSR ranks 102nd of 185 countries.
USSR has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Myanmar | USSR | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 1.04 kg/ha | 9.61 kg/ha | 8.57 kg/ha | USSR |
| 1970s | 4.2 kg/ha | 28.21 kg/ha | 24.01 kg/ha | USSR |

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
