How they compare

USSR currently reports 28.81 kg/ha against 27.3 kg/ha in Belize, a difference of 1.51 kg/ha.

That makes USSR's figure about 1.1 times Belize's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 31 shared years of data; in 1961 it was USSR ahead.

Belize ranks 12th and USSR ranks 11th of 185 countries.

USSR has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Belize USSR Difference Ahead
1960s 6.65 kg/ha 8.47 kg/ha 1.82 kg/ha USSR
1970s 8.02 kg/ha 18.67 kg/ha 10.65 kg/ha USSR
1980s 6.14 kg/ha 31.07 kg/ha 24.93 kg/ha USSR
1990s 10.2 kg/ha 31.47 kg/ha 21.28 kg/ha USSR

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
