USSR vs Yugoslav SFR: Mineral fertilizers — Cropland potassium per unit area
Mineral fertilizers — Cropland potassium per unit area over time
- USSR
- Yugoslav SFR
How they compare
USSR currently reports 22.24 kg/ha against 20.24 kg/ha in Yugoslav SFR, a difference of 2 kg/ha.
That makes USSR's figure about 1.1 times Yugoslav SFR's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 31 shared years of data; in 1961 it was Yugoslav SFR ahead.
USSR ranks 41st and Yugoslav SFR ranks 44th of 186 countries.
Yugoslav SFR has averaged higher in every one of the 4 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | USSR | Yugoslav SFR | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1960s | 6.74 kg/ha | 15.19 kg/ha | 8.45 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
| 1970s | 18.09 kg/ha | 22.01 kg/ha | 3.91 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
| 1980s | 26.4 kg/ha | 31.01 kg/ha | 4.6 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
| 1990s | 22.22 kg/ha | 22.4 kg/ha | 0.1777 kg/ha | Yugoslav SFR |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
The Cropland Nutrient balance domain contains information on the flows of nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium from mineral fertilizer, manure applied, atmospheric deposition, crop removal, and biological fixation over cropland and per unit area of cropland. The flows are aggregated to total inputs and total outputs, from which the overall nutrient balance and nutrient use efficiency on cropland are calculated. Statistics are disseminated in units of tonnes and in kg/ha, as appropriate. Nutrient use efficiency is expressed as a fraction (%).
