Armenia vs Guyana: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Armenia
- Guyana
How they compare
Guyana currently reports 0.2985 Mt CO2e against 0.2828 Mt CO2e in Armenia, a difference of 0.0157 Mt CO2e.
That makes Guyana's figure about 1.1 times Armenia's.
The two have swapped places 7 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Armenia ahead.
Armenia ranks 139th and Guyana ranks 138th of 201 countries.
Armenia has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Armenia | Guyana | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.3516 Mt CO2e | 0.1976 Mt CO2e | 0.154 Mt CO2e | Armenia |
| 1980s | 0.4098 Mt CO2e | 0.1583 Mt CO2e | 0.2516 Mt CO2e | Armenia |
| 1990s | 0.2884 Mt CO2e | 0.202 Mt CO2e | 0.0864 Mt CO2e | Armenia |
| 2000s | 0.2602 Mt CO2e | 0.2508 Mt CO2e | 0.0094 Mt CO2e | Armenia |
| 2010s | 0.3095 Mt CO2e | 0.2817 Mt CO2e | 0.0278 Mt CO2e | Armenia |
| 2020s | 0.3017 Mt CO2e | 0.2928 Mt CO2e | 0.0089 Mt CO2e | Armenia |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
