Central African Republic vs Yemen: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Central African Republic
- Yemen
How they compare
Central African Republic currently reports 2.7 Mt CO2e against 2.46 Mt CO2e in Yemen, a difference of 0.24 Mt CO2e.
That makes Central African Republic's figure about 1.1 times Yemen's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Yemen ahead.
Central African Republic ranks 81st and Yemen ranks 84th of 201 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Central African Republic averaged higher in 2 and Yemen in 4.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Central African Republic | Yemen | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.4254 Mt CO2e | 0.8632 Mt CO2e | 0.4378 Mt CO2e | Yemen |
| 1980s | 0.8952 Mt CO2e | 0.967 Mt CO2e | 0.0718 Mt CO2e | Yemen |
| 1990s | 1.32 Mt CO2e | 1.35 Mt CO2e | 0.0256 Mt CO2e | Yemen |
| 2000s | 1.85 Mt CO2e | 1.86 Mt CO2e | 0.0076 Mt CO2e | Yemen |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
