Gambia vs Qatar: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Gambia
- Qatar
How they compare
Qatar currently reports 0.1667 Mt CO2e against 0.1491 Mt CO2e in Gambia, a difference of 0.0176 Mt CO2e.
That makes Qatar's figure about 1.1 times Gambia's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Gambia ahead.
Gambia ranks 149th and Qatar ranks 147th of 201 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Gambia averaged higher in 5 and Qatar in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Gambia | Qatar | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.1168 Mt CO2e | 0.0111 Mt CO2e | 0.1057 Mt CO2e | Gambia |
| 1980s | 0.1326 Mt CO2e | 0.0201 Mt CO2e | 0.1125 Mt CO2e | Gambia |
| 1990s | 0.1502 Mt CO2e | 0.0516 Mt CO2e | 0.0987 Mt CO2e | Gambia |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
