IDA blend vs Mongolia: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture over time
- IDA blend
- Mongolia
How they compare
IDA blend currently reports 114.14 Mt CO2e against 11.13 Mt CO2e in Mongolia, a difference of 103.01 Mt CO2e.
That makes IDA blend's figure about 10.3 times Mongolia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, IDA blend has been ahead every year.
IDA blend ranks 34th and Mongolia ranks 32nd of 46 groups.
IDA blend has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | IDA blend | Mongolia | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 34.48 Mt CO2e | 6.68 Mt CO2e | 27.8 Mt CO2e | IDA blend |
| 1980s | 46.33 Mt CO2e | 6.77 Mt CO2e | 39.56 Mt CO2e | IDA blend |
| 1990s | 55.09 Mt CO2e | 7.39 Mt CO2e | 47.71 Mt CO2e | IDA blend |
| 2000s | 69.26 Mt CO2e | 7.6 Mt CO2e | 61.67 Mt CO2e | IDA blend |
| 2010s | 92.63 Mt CO2e | 9.38 Mt CO2e | 83.25 Mt CO2e | IDA blend |
| 2020s | 111.27 Mt CO2e | 11.09 Mt CO2e | 100.18 Mt CO2e | IDA blend |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
