Kuwait vs East Timor: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Kuwait
- East Timor
How they compare
East Timor currently reports 0.201 Mt CO2e against 0.1806 Mt CO2e in Kuwait, a difference of 0.0204 Mt CO2e.
That makes East Timor's figure about 1.1 times Kuwait's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was East Timor ahead.
Kuwait ranks 145th and East Timor ranks 143rd of 201 countries.
East Timor has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Kuwait | East Timor | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.027 Mt CO2e | 0.1126 Mt CO2e | 0.0857 Mt CO2e | East Timor |
| 1980s | 0.0573 Mt CO2e | 0.0609 Mt CO2e | 0.0037 Mt CO2e | East Timor |
| 1990s | 0.0616 Mt CO2e | 0.1146 Mt CO2e | 0.053 Mt CO2e | East Timor |
| 2000s | 0.1002 Mt CO2e | 0.1462 Mt CO2e | 0.046 Mt CO2e | East Timor |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
