Thailand vs Uzbekistan: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Agriculture over time
- Thailand
- Uzbekistan
How they compare
Uzbekistan currently reports 12.69 Mt CO2e against 11.08 Mt CO2e in Thailand, a difference of 1.61 Mt CO2e.
That makes Uzbekistan's figure about 1.1 times Thailand's.
The two have swapped places 5 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Thailand ahead.
Thailand ranks 33rd and Uzbekistan ranks 30th of 201 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Thailand averaged higher in 4 and Uzbekistan in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Thailand | Uzbekistan | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 6.65 Mt CO2e | 6.68 Mt CO2e | 0.0362 Mt CO2e | Uzbekistan |
| 1980s | 8.6 Mt CO2e | 8.05 Mt CO2e | 0.5491 Mt CO2e | Thailand |
| 1990s | 11.26 Mt CO2e | 5.66 Mt CO2e | 5.6 Mt CO2e | Thailand |
| 2000s | 11.46 Mt CO2e | 5.6 Mt CO2e | 5.86 Mt CO2e | Thailand |
| 2010s | 13.41 Mt CO2e | 10.33 Mt CO2e | 3.08 Mt CO2e | Thailand |
| 2020s | 11.93 Mt CO2e | 12.48 Mt CO2e | 0.5435 Mt CO2e | Uzbekistan |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the agricultural sector. This includes emissions from livestock (IPCC 2006 codes 3.A.1 (enteric fermentation, 3.a.2 (manure management) and crops (IPCC 2006 codes 3.C.1 Emissions from biomass burning, 3.C.2 Liming, 3.C.3 Urea application, 3.C.4 Direct N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.5 Indirect N2O Emissions from managed soils, 3.C.6 Indirect N2O Emissions from manure management, 3.C.7 Rice cultivations). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
