How they compare

Senegal currently reports 0.0401 Mt CO2e against 0.0381 Mt CO2e in Afghanistan, a difference of 0.002 Mt CO2e.

That makes Senegal's figure about 1.1 times Afghanistan's.

The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Senegal ahead.

Afghanistan ranks 115th and Senegal ranks 112th of 197 countries.

Senegal has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
