How they compare

Egypt currently reports 0.3388 Mt CO2e against 0.3044 Mt CO2e in Sudan, a difference of 0.0344 Mt CO2e.

That makes Egypt's figure about 1.1 times Sudan's.

The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Sudan ahead.

Egypt ranks 34th and Sudan ranks 36th of 197 countries.

Across the 6 decades both report, Egypt averaged higher in 3 and Sudan in 3.

Head to head by decade

A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the building sector (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 codes 1.A.4 Residential and other sectors, 1.A.5 Non-Specified. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
