Nepal vs Sri Lanka: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Industrial Combustion (Energy)
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Industrial Combustion (Energy) over time
- Nepal
- Sri Lanka
How they compare
Sri Lanka currently reports 0.094 Mt CO2e against 0.0846 Mt CO2e in Nepal, a difference of 0.0094 Mt CO2e.
That makes Sri Lanka's figure about 1.1 times Nepal's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Sri Lanka has been ahead every year.
Nepal ranks 35th and Sri Lanka ranks 32nd of 193 countries.
Sri Lanka has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial combustion (subsector of the energy sector) including IPCC 2006 code 1.A.2 Manufacturing Industries and Construction. The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
