How they compare

Slovakia currently reports 1.58 Mt CO2e against 1.46 Mt CO2e in Netherlands, a difference of 0.12 Mt CO2e.

That makes Slovakia's figure about 1.1 times Netherlands's.

The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Netherlands ahead.

Netherlands ranks 42nd and Slovakia ranks 40th of 203 countries.

Netherlands has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

Head to head by decade

Decade Netherlands Slovakia Difference Ahead
1970s 8.75 Mt CO2e 1.49 Mt CO2e 7.26 Mt CO2e Netherlands
1980s 6.74 Mt CO2e 1.25 Mt CO2e 5.49 Mt CO2e Netherlands
1990s 5.14 Mt CO2e 0.9584 Mt CO2e 4.19 Mt CO2e Netherlands
2000s 5.25 Mt CO2e 1.17 Mt CO2e 4.08 Mt CO2e Netherlands
2010s 1.64 Mt CO2e 1.42 Mt CO2e 0.2157 Mt CO2e Netherlands
2020s 1.56 Mt CO2e 1.55 Mt CO2e 0.0063 Mt CO2e Netherlands

Averages of every year both report within each decade.

A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from industrial processes including IPCC 2006 codes 2.A.1 Cement production, 2.A.2 Lime production, 2.A.3 Glass Production, 2.A.4 Other Process Uses of Carbonates, 2.B Chemical Industry, 2.C Metal Industry, 2.D Non-Energy Products from Fuels and Solvent Use, 2.E Electronics Industry, 2.F Product Uses as Substitutes for Ozone Depleting Substances, 2.G Other Product Manufacture and Use and 5.A Indirect N2O emissions from the atmospheric deposition of nitrogen in NOx and NH3). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
