Angola vs Portugal: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Angola
- Portugal
How they compare
Angola currently reports 0.2891 Mt CO2e against 0.2735 Mt CO2e in Portugal, a difference of 0.0156 Mt CO2e.
That makes Angola's figure about 1.1 times Portugal's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Portugal ahead.
Angola ranks 62nd and Portugal ranks 65th of 204 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Angola averaged higher in 1 and Portugal in 5.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Angola | Portugal | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
