Arab World vs Saudi Arabia: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Arab World
- Saudi Arabia
How they compare
Arab World currently reports 7.09 Mt CO2e against 0.6014 Mt CO2e in Saudi Arabia, a difference of 6.49 Mt CO2e.
That makes Arab World's figure about 11.8 times Saudi Arabia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Arab World has been ahead every year.
Arab World ranks 37th and Saudi Arabia ranks 38th of 46 groups.
Arab World has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
