Austria vs Guatemala: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Austria
- Guatemala
How they compare
Austria currently reports 0.2529 Mt CO2e against 0.2325 Mt CO2e in Guatemala, a difference of 0.0204 Mt CO2e.
That makes Austria's figure about 1.1 times Guatemala's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Austria has been ahead every year.
Austria ranks 68th and Guatemala ranks 71st of 203 countries.
Austria has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
