Austria vs Slovak Republic: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Austria
- Slovak Republic
How they compare
Austria currently reports 0.2529 Mt CO2e against 0.2389 Mt CO2e in Slovak Republic, a difference of 0.014 Mt CO2e.
That makes Austria's figure about 1.1 times Slovak Republic's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Slovak Republic ahead.
Austria ranks 68th and Slovak Republic ranks 70th of 203 countries.
Austria has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Austria | Slovak Republic | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
