Bahamas vs Cabo Verde: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Bahamas
- Cabo Verde
How they compare
Cabo Verde currently reports 0.0077 Mt CO2e against 0.0072 Mt CO2e in Bahamas, a difference of 0.0005 Mt CO2e.
That makes Cabo Verde's figure about 1.1 times Bahamas's.
The two have swapped places 11 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Bahamas ahead.
Bahamas ranks 168th and Cabo Verde ranks 165th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Bahamas averaged higher in 1 and Cabo Verde in 5.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
