Bermuda vs British Virgin Islands: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Bermuda
- British Virgin Islands
How they compare
Bermuda currently reports 0.0005 Mt CO2e against 0.0004 Mt CO2e in British Virgin Islands, a difference of 0.0001 Mt CO2e.
That makes Bermuda's figure about 1.2 times British Virgin Islands's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Bermuda has been ahead every year.
Bermuda ranks 197th and British Virgin Islands ranks 199th of 203 countries.
Bermuda has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
