Bolivia vs Guinea: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Bolivia
- Guinea
How they compare
Bolivia currently reports 0.1608 Mt CO2e against 0.1504 Mt CO2e in Guinea, a difference of 0.0104 Mt CO2e.
That makes Bolivia's figure about 1.1 times Guinea's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Guinea ahead.
Bolivia ranks 91st and Guinea ranks 94th of 203 countries.
Bolivia has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bolivia | Guinea | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.0398 Mt CO2e | 0.0376 Mt CO2e | 0.0021 Mt CO2e | Bolivia |
| 1980s | 0.0516 Mt CO2e | 0.0452 Mt CO2e | 0.0064 Mt CO2e | Bolivia |
| 1990s | 0.0678 Mt CO2e | 0.0647 Mt CO2e | 0.003 Mt CO2e | Bolivia |
| 2000s | 0.09 Mt CO2e | 0.0841 Mt CO2e | 0.0059 Mt CO2e | Bolivia |
| 2010s | 0.1338 Mt CO2e | 0.1098 Mt CO2e | 0.024 Mt CO2e | Bolivia |
| 2020s | 0.1575 Mt CO2e | 0.1411 Mt CO2e | 0.0164 Mt CO2e | Bolivia |
Averages of every year both report within each decade.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
