Bulgaria vs Libya: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Bulgaria
- Libya
How they compare
Libya currently reports 0.1177 Mt CO2e against 0.1108 Mt CO2e in Bulgaria, a difference of 0.0069 Mt CO2e.
That makes Libya's figure about 1.1 times Bulgaria's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Bulgaria ahead.
Bulgaria ranks 104th and Libya ranks 102nd of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Bulgaria averaged higher in 5 and Libya in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bulgaria | Libya | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.1405 Mt CO2e | 0.024 Mt CO2e | 0.1164 Mt CO2e | Bulgaria |
| 1980s | 0.1544 Mt CO2e | 0.041 Mt CO2e | 0.1134 Mt CO2e | Bulgaria |
| 1990s | 0.1305 Mt CO2e | 0.0498 Mt CO2e | 0.0807 Mt CO2e | Bulgaria |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
