Bulgaria vs Somalia: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Bulgaria
- Somalia
How they compare
Somalia currently reports 0.1243 Mt CO2e against 0.1108 Mt CO2e in Bulgaria, a difference of 0.0135 Mt CO2e.
That makes Somalia's figure about 1.1 times Bulgaria's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Bulgaria ahead.
Bulgaria ranks 104th and Somalia ranks 101st of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Bulgaria averaged higher in 5 and Somalia in 1.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Bulgaria | Somalia | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
