Burundi vs Papua New Guinea: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Burundi
- Papua New Guinea
How they compare
Papua New Guinea currently reports 0.0959 Mt CO2e against 0.0911 Mt CO2e in Burundi, a difference of 0.0048 Mt CO2e.
That makes Papua New Guinea's figure about 1.1 times Burundi's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Burundi ahead.
Burundi ranks 114th and Papua New Guinea ranks 111th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Burundi averaged higher in 3 and Papua New Guinea in 3.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
