Colombia vs IDA only: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Colombia
- IDA only
How they compare
IDA only currently reports 13.41 Mt CO2e against 1.67 Mt CO2e in Colombia, a difference of 11.74 Mt CO2e.
That makes IDA only's figure about 8.0 times Colombia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, IDA only has been ahead every year.
Colombia ranks 18th and IDA only ranks 20th of 203 countries.
IDA only has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
