Costa Rica vs Togo: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Costa Rica
- Togo
How they compare
Togo currently reports 0.086 Mt CO2e against 0.0804 Mt CO2e in Costa Rica, a difference of 0.0056 Mt CO2e.
That makes Togo's figure about 1.1 times Costa Rica's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Costa Rica ahead.
Costa Rica ranks 124th and Togo ranks 121st of 203 countries.
Costa Rica has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Costa Rica | Togo | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
