Cyprus vs Mauritius: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Cyprus
- Mauritius
How they compare
Cyprus currently reports 0.0313 Mt CO2e against 0.0228 Mt CO2e in Mauritius, a difference of 0.0085 Mt CO2e.
That makes Cyprus's figure about 1.4 times Mauritius's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Cyprus ahead.
Cyprus ranks 145th and Mauritius ranks 148th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Cyprus averaged higher in 2 and Mauritius in 4.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
