Djibouti vs Equatorial Guinea: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Djibouti
- Equatorial Guinea
How they compare
Djibouti currently reports 0.0129 Mt CO2e against 0.0121 Mt CO2e in Equatorial Guinea, a difference of 0.0008 Mt CO2e.
That makes Djibouti's figure about 1.1 times Equatorial Guinea's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Djibouti ahead.
Djibouti ranks 159th and Equatorial Guinea ranks 161st of 204 countries.
Djibouti has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Djibouti | Equatorial Guinea | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.0015 Mt CO2e | 0.0012 Mt CO2e | 0.0003 Mt CO2e | Djibouti |
| 1980s | 0.0031 Mt CO2e | 0.0017 Mt CO2e | 0.0014 Mt CO2e | Djibouti |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
