European Union vs Poland: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- European Union
- Poland
How they compare
European Union currently reports 11.83 Mt CO2e against 0.9101 Mt CO2e in Poland, a difference of 10.92 Mt CO2e.
That makes European Union's figure about 13.0 times Poland's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, European Union has been ahead every year.
European Union ranks 1st and Poland ranks 29th of 2 regions.
European Union has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | European Union | Poland | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
