Faroe Islands vs North Korea: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Faroe Islands
- North Korea
How they compare
Faroe Islands currently reports 0.0009 Mt CO2e against 0.0008 Mt CO2e in North Korea, a difference of 0.0001 Mt CO2e.
That makes Faroe Islands's figure about 1.1 times North Korea's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was North Korea ahead.
Faroe Islands ranks 190th and North Korea ranks 193rd of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Faroe Islands averaged higher in 2 and North Korea in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
