France vs Lower middle income: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- France
- Lower middle income
How they compare
Lower middle income currently reports 35.75 Mt CO2e against 1.85 Mt CO2e in France, a difference of 33.9 Mt CO2e.
That makes Lower middle income's figure about 19.3 times France's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Lower middle income has been ahead every year.
France ranks 15th and Lower middle income ranks 14th of 203 countries.
Lower middle income has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
