French Polynesia vs Malta: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- French Polynesia
- Malta
How they compare
Malta currently reports 0.0073 Mt CO2e against 0.0057 Mt CO2e in French Polynesia, a difference of 0.0016 Mt CO2e.
That makes Malta's figure about 1.3 times French Polynesia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Malta has been ahead every year.
French Polynesia ranks 170th and Malta ranks 167th of 203 countries.
Malta has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
