Georgia vs Mauritania: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Georgia
- Mauritania
How they compare
Mauritania currently reports 0.0764 Mt CO2e against 0.0616 Mt CO2e in Georgia, a difference of 0.0148 Mt CO2e.
That makes Mauritania's figure about 1.2 times Georgia's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Georgia ahead.
Georgia ranks 130th and Mauritania ranks 127th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Georgia averaged higher in 4 and Mauritania in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Georgia | Mauritania | Difference | Ahead |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1970s | 0.0413 Mt CO2e | 0.0153 Mt CO2e | 0.026 Mt CO2e | Georgia |
| 1980s | 0.045 Mt CO2e | 0.0216 Mt CO2e | 0.0233 Mt CO2e | Georgia |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
