Greenland vs Northern Mariana Islands: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Greenland
- Northern Mariana Islands
How they compare
Greenland currently reports 0.001 Mt CO2e against 0.0009 Mt CO2e in Northern Mariana Islands, a difference of 0.0001 Mt CO2e.
That makes Greenland's figure about 1.1 times Northern Mariana Islands's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Greenland has been ahead every year.
Greenland ranks 187th and Northern Mariana Islands ranks 190th of 203 countries.
Greenland has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Greenland | Northern Mariana Islands | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
