Hungary vs Switzerland: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Hungary
- Switzerland
How they compare
Hungary currently reports 0.188 Mt CO2e against 0.1763 Mt CO2e in Switzerland, a difference of 0.0117 Mt CO2e.
That makes Hungary's figure about 1.1 times Switzerland's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Hungary has been ahead every year.
Hungary ranks 82nd and Switzerland ranks 85th of 203 countries.
Hungary has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
