IDA only vs Viet Nam: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- IDA only
- Viet Nam
How they compare
IDA only currently reports 13.41 Mt CO2e against 1.72 Mt CO2e in Viet Nam, a difference of 11.69 Mt CO2e.
That makes IDA only's figure about 7.8 times Viet Nam's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, IDA only has been ahead every year.
IDA only ranks 20th and Viet Nam ranks 18th of 45 groups.
IDA only has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
