IDA total vs Italy: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- IDA total
- Italy
How they compare
IDA total currently reports 20.48 Mt CO2e against 1.37 Mt CO2e in Italy, a difference of 19.11 Mt CO2e.
That makes IDA total's figure about 14.9 times Italy's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, IDA total has been ahead every year.
IDA total ranks 19th and Italy ranks 22nd of 46 groups.
IDA total has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
