Jamaica vs Liberia: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Jamaica
- Liberia
How they compare
Jamaica currently reports 0.046 Mt CO2e against 0.0437 Mt CO2e in Liberia, a difference of 0.0023 Mt CO2e.
That makes Jamaica's figure about 1.1 times Liberia's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Jamaica has been ahead every year.
Jamaica ranks 137th and Liberia ranks 140th of 203 countries.
Jamaica has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
