Jordan vs New Zealand: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Jordan
- New Zealand
How they compare
New Zealand currently reports 0.1381 Mt CO2e against 0.1269 Mt CO2e in Jordan, a difference of 0.0112 Mt CO2e.
That makes New Zealand's figure about 1.1 times Jordan's.
The two have swapped places 2 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was New Zealand ahead.
Jordan ranks 100th and New Zealand ranks 97th of 203 countries.
New Zealand has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Jordan | New Zealand | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
