Luxembourg vs Timor-Leste: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Luxembourg
- Timor-Leste
How they compare
Luxembourg currently reports 0.0174 Mt CO2e against 0.0154 Mt CO2e in Timor-Leste, a difference of 0.002 Mt CO2e.
That makes Luxembourg's figure about 1.1 times Timor-Leste's.
The two have swapped places 4 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Luxembourg ahead.
Luxembourg ranks 152nd and Timor-Leste ranks 155th of 203 countries.
Luxembourg has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Luxembourg | Timor-Leste | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
