Maldives vs Malta: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Maldives
- Malta
How they compare
Maldives currently reports 0.0088 Mt CO2e against 0.0073 Mt CO2e in Malta, a difference of 0.0015 Mt CO2e.
That makes Maldives's figure about 1.2 times Malta's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Malta ahead.
Maldives ranks 164th and Malta ranks 167th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Maldives averaged higher in 2 and Malta in 4.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
