Morocco vs Netherlands: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Morocco
- Netherlands
How they compare
Morocco currently reports 0.643 Mt CO2e against 0.5687 Mt CO2e in Netherlands, a difference of 0.0743 Mt CO2e.
That makes Morocco's figure about 1.1 times Netherlands's.
The two have swapped places 3 times across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Netherlands ahead.
Morocco ranks 36th and Netherlands ranks 39th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Morocco averaged higher in 3 and Netherlands in 3.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Morocco | Netherlands | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
