Nepal vs Other small states: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Nepal
- Other small states
How they compare
Nepal currently reports 0.4477 Mt CO2e against 0.1945 Mt CO2e in Other small states, a difference of 0.2532 Mt CO2e.
That makes Nepal's figure about 2.3 times Other small states's.
Across all 55 years both countries report, Nepal has been ahead every year.
Nepal ranks 46th and Other small states ranks 44th of 203 countries.
Nepal has averaged higher in every one of the 6 decades both report.
Head to head by decade

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
