Nepal vs Small states: Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste
Nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from Waste over time
- Nepal
- Small states
How they compare
Nepal currently reports 0.4477 Mt CO2e against 0.3115 Mt CO2e in Small states, a difference of 0.1362 Mt CO2e.
That makes Nepal's figure about 1.4 times Small states's.
The two have swapped places 1 time across 55 shared years of data; in 1970 it was Small states ahead.
Nepal ranks 46th and Small states ranks 44th of 203 countries.
Across the 6 decades both report, Nepal averaged higher in 4 and Small states in 2.
Head to head by decade
| Decade | Nepal | Small states | Difference | Ahead |

About this data
A measure of annual emissions of nitrous oxide (N2O), one of the six Kyoto greenhouse gases (GHG), from the waste sector. This includes emissions from solid waste (IPCC 2006 codes 4.A Solid Waste Disposal, 4.B Biological Treatment of Solid Waste, 4.C Incineration and Open Burning of Waste) and wastewater treatment (IPCC 2006 code 4.D Wastewater Treatment and Discharge). The measure is standardized to carbon dioxide equivalent values using the Global Warming Potential (GWP) factors of IPCC's 5th Assessment Report (AR5).
